What is IBC & what could you use them for?

These containers are designed to store and transport bulk materials in intermediate quantities. They’re often used once and being discarded by the factory, but these light weight, stackable bins are actually opening up a world of storage possibilities.  We source our non-food grade IBCs directly from a prominent shampoo manufacturer. These units have been used only once, ensuring they are relatively clean and the products they contained pose no harm to the environment. Conversely, each food-grade tote we offer is clearly identifiable, either bearing a dedicated food-grade badge or providing comprehensive content information, with all of these particular totes originating from a large, reputable bakery establishment.

Beyond their original purpose, they can be repurposed to expertly handle a variety of liquids, making them ideal for storing everything from maple sap and fruit juice to potable drinking water. Their utility extends beyond beverages; consider them for diesel fuel storage, a convenient firewood container, a spacious recycle bin, or even a temporary septic holding tank.  But why stop there? With a little ingenuity, an IBC tote can become the backbone of functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor structures. Envision an outdoor shower, a discreet outhouse tucked away in your backyard, or even a sturdy and camouflaged deer blind for the hunting season. For parents of school-aged children, these totes could even be repurposed into a charming and protective Schoolbus waiting shelter, shielding them from the elements as they await their ride. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination and a willingness to repurpose!

FAQ:

What was in these IBC totes?

Understanding that different applications demand specific container solutions, we proudly offer two distinct grades of bins: our premium Food Grade (FG) and our versatile Non-Food Grade (NFG) units. Our FG totes are sourced directly from a large, trusted bakery establishment and previously contained only food-safe liquids such as liquid sugar, tapioca syrup, or canola oils, making them ideal for continued use in food-related applications after a standard cleaning. In contrast, our NFG units previously held products like dish soap or traditional shampoo. While these units are largely empty and contained non-toxic liquids, we recommend a thorough rinsing and sanitizing process before their initial use to ensure they are perfectly suited for their new non-food-contact purpose. This clear distinction allows our customers to confidently select the ideal bin for their specific requirements, ensuring both safety and suitability for a wide range of needs.
